How do I order a cake?

How long in advance do I need to place my order?
It's always best to order as soon as you know your date. If I am not already fully booked for the date I will always try my best to accommodate.
 I need a minimum of 5 days notice for complex orders! 


Do you deliver? 
Yes!
However it is a little more expensive than regular deliveries as transporting a cake is a timely process
It is R20 per km from the studio at suikerbossie to your venue // address 


Can I collect the cake myself?
Yes! :)
 Collection is at 10.30am from Suikerbossie Restaurant reception on your chosen date


I have a budget that I need to stick to, can you accommodate?
I can do my best! :) 
Sometimes we have a vision but don't always have the budget - by adjusting size & details we can make it work


Can I pay when I collect my cake?
Unfortunately not <3
Orders need to be paid for up front in order to confirm your order


Do you make novelty/themed & fondant cakes?
Unfortunately I don't


What determines the price of my cake?
The design details, flavour, filling, size & time  


 Do you offer cake tastings? 
I don't currently offer tastings at this stage. Hopefully in the near future!
An alternative option would be to order a small cake in your favourite flavour & taste it with your friends & family over a cup of tea
 

Cake after care

When I collect my cake
Please make sure to put your cake on a flat surface when you collect - like on the floor in the front of the passanger seat. Make sure to have your aircon on if it is a hot day! Don't be in a rush.. make sure you have time to get to your venue, drive over those bumps & potholes slowly! Please note that once the cake leaves Suikerbossie it will no longer be in our hands 


How should I store my cake before serving?
Cakes must be kept in the fridge as soon as they are collected. remove +- 2 hours before serving to bring it to room temperature. Please keep it out of direct sunlight to avoid the buttercream melting  


How long will my cake keep for?
While the cake is made to be served on the day you order it, if stored correctly in an air tight container it should last a while! Enjoy it up to 48 hours after your event date
